We are currently recruiting for a Head of Health and Safety for a leading business in the North West of England. You will lead the Nuclear division and manage a team of HSE professionals.
It is a national role and you can be based from anywhere within the UK.
Responsibilities:
Set the H&S strategy for the Nuclear division
Provide competent Health and Safety advice and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
Support the implementation of the group-wide management system
Ensure site-based teams fulfil their CDM roles and duties
Manage ISO accreditations, mentor and develop staff and conduct performance reviews
Develop HSE plans and ensure compliance with the integrated management system
Promote a positive culture
Investigate and report accidents/incidents
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent level Health and Safety qualification
Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders
First-class communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the Nuclear, Defence, Government or Construction sectors
Knowledge of or experience with ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 or 5001
You will need to be a strong leader and a confident communicator. You will be required to implement a world-class safety culture and lead the sector for HSE performance.
