​Heathgate Search is delighted to be partnering with a Real Estate organisation to appoint a Building / Fire / Health & Safety Manager. The salary range is £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience. 

You will be required on-site 4 days per week, with 1 day from home. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, complex estate environment, playing a pivotal role in driving safety, compliance and operational excellence across a multi-asset portfolio. The Role

As the Building / Fire / Health & Safety Manager, you will provide advice across Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Building Safety. Working closely with operational and senior leadership teams, you will embed a strong culture of risk awareness while ensuring full legislative compliance across the estate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing competent, on-site Health & Safety, Building Safety and Fire Safety advice

  • Delivering H&S compliance management and technical guidance across teams

  • Ensuring all properties remain fully compliant, escalating any non-compliance where required

  • Reviewing and quality assuring third-party Fire Risk Assessments

  • Liaising with the Fire Service and managing fire safety inspections

  • Producing and maintaining PPM documentation and working with the remediation team

  • Managing compliance systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting

  • Developing, implementing and overseeing safety management systems

  • Preparing and presenting reports to senior stakeholders

  • Driving a proactive operational risk management culture

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong experience across Building Safety, Fire Safety and Health & Safety

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act and Health and Safety Legislation

  • Experience working with third-party Fire Risk Assessors

  • Knowledge of Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs)

  • H&S and compliance experience within property or a transferable sector

  • Demonstrated strategic leadership capability with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Knowledge of Building Safety Cases (Desirable)
