We are delighted to partner with a National Housing Association to appoint an experienced Head of Health and Safety. This is a hybrid role and you can be based from anywhere within England. The salary is up to £65,000 + benefits.
Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of the group wide Health and Safety strategy and create a positive safety culture
Provide competent Health and Safety advice, ensure legal and regulatory compliance and manage a team of H&S Advisors
Develop Health and Safety policies and procedures and help to deliver training
Ensure risk assessments, audits and site inspections are consistently being undertaken
Ensure colleagues comply with with relevant legislation, engage with senior stakeholders and provide accurate management information
Ensure compliance with the Big 6 (Gas, Asbestos, Fire, Electrical, Water hygiene and Lifts)
Work closely with the Health and Safety Director and lead and inspire your team
Qualifications | Experience | Skills
CMIOSH or working towards
NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent level qualification
Experience within the Housing sector or a transferable industry
Experience with ISO45001/18001
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience managing and leading a team
